Dr. Ognjen Čukić is a specialist in otorhinolaryngology from Belgrade. He graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and passed his specialist exam in 2016 with excellent results. From 2016 to 2021, he worked as an otorhinolaryngologist in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology with Maxillofacial Surgery at the Zemun Clinical Hospital Center. As part of this department, which serves as a teaching base for the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine, he participated in teaching Otorhinolaryngology with Maxillofacial Surgery in the integrated academic medical studies program as a clinical assistant.
In 2024, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Comparative Analysis of Voice Quality in Patients with Benign Vocal Cord Lesions Following Direct Laryngomicroscopy and Indirect Laryngoscopic Surgery.”
Since 2022, Dr. Čukić has been employed as an otorhinolaryngologist at the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology of the Military Medical Academy.
His primary areas of interest include laryngeal and neck surgery and microsurgery for benign vocal cord lesions. He has undergone specialized training in these fields through multiple practical courses and clinical fellowships abroad (Hamburg, Arezzo, Brescia, and Zurich). He has also published several scientific papers on these topics in JCR-indexed journals.
Dr. Čukić is a member of the Serbian Medical Society and the Serbian Laryngological Association. He serves on the editorial board and as a peer reviewer for the Ear, Nose & Throat Journal. Additionally, he reviews articles for Vojnosanitetski Pregled, BMC Oral Health, and Case Reports in Otolaryngology.
Dr. Čukić has delivered notable presentations at numerous scientific conferences both nationally and internationally, including:
- Voice Symposium – Salzburg (2016)
- ENT Week of the Slovenian Medical Society – Bled (2022)
- Congress of the European Laryngological Society – Milan (2023)
He has participated as an invited speaker and a regular program lecturer at these events.
In addition to otorhinolaryngological examinations, Dr. Čukić performs larynx and hypopharynx examinations using a rigid endoscope (telelaryngoscopy), adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, and laryngomicroscopy (LMS) with the removal of vocal cord lesions. He also specializes in the excision of lipomas and other benign neck tumors, lymph node biopsies, surgical treatment of medial and lateral neck cysts, and the removal of small skin lesions and moles on the face and neck.
